David Halvorson is a self-taught artist. Born in 1946 in Faribault, Minnesota, David took to Woodcraft Art in 1990 (as soon as it was time for the kids to go off to college!) 

Throughout his adult life, David developed an appreciation for Woodcrafting and Art.

In 1983, out of the most innocuous of sources - pure necessity (a need to refurbish the woodwork in his own home surroundings) - the creative wheels were set in motion.  This singular event acted as the spark that ignited the passion that David has for Woodcrafting and for Art today.

David will often spend hours upon hours out in his work studio, with wood as his watercolor and canvas. Years of home grown artistic expression made it clear that David's life would come to be centered upon his passion for Woodcraft and Art.

With success, appreciation, and recognition comes a price... David more and more is finding his Woodcraft Art to be his primary career.  

Today, David lives in New Prague, Minnesota with his wife Julie.  When not attending Art Shows or Gallery Showings he can be found most of the time in his 1500 square foot work studio.
